Brake Repairs

Do you trust your car's brakes? If you have any doubts regarding the current condition of your brakes, it's best to call or pay a visit to our auto repair shop. Most Rovers have brake sensors that will alert the driver when the brakes need servicing, usually there is only one sensor on each axle, so it is not fail proof. Common symptoms of faulty brakes include a feeling of pulling when you brake, a pulsing sensation in the brake pedal or steering wheel, and a grinding sound while braking. Our auto repair shop specializes in brake repair and service. We can diagnose and repair a wide variety of brake problems efficiently and quickly.

Some of our most common repairs include:

  • Replacing of rotors or drums
  • Repairing a faulty anti-lock braking system (ABS)
  • Replacing of brake pads and sensors
  • Servicing of hydraulics (wheel cylinders, hoses and calipers)
  • Brake flush

Brake Inspections

Automotive experts suggest that you undergo a brake system inspection at least once a year or every 12,000 miles. Our certified mechanics will inspect all of the major components of your vehicle's brake system, including the rotors and pads, or drums and shoes, and give you an evaluation of the current condition of the system. We will recommend replacements or repairs to maintain and improve the performance of your vehicle based on this inspection if needed.

Brake Fluid Checks

Typical brake flushes should be performed every 50,000 miles. As brake fluid ages and becomes contaminated with small particles, the boiling point of the fluid goes down. .

This reduces your braking performance, which you might not notice for awhile, but every inch counts when it comes to braking. In extreme cases, it can lead to the brakes not working at all. We visually inspect your brake fluid and if needed test the moisture content in the fluid. If there’s too much moisture, we will recommend changing the fluid. When possible, we do try to time the brake fluid flush so that it’s done at the same time as other needed brake work.
